Description:
The most impressive items at this folk-art and handicrafts shop are mopa mopa boxes and figures made by the Quillasinga Indians of Colombia. Although the figures look hand painted, they're actually inlaid with layers of mopa mopa, a tree bud that's boiled until reduced to resin, stretched like gum, and cut into bits of color.
