Description:
The most impressive items at this folk-art and handicrafts shop are mopa mopa boxes and figures made by the Quillasinga Indians of Colombia. Although the figures look hand-painted, they're actually inlaid with layers of mopa mopa, a tree bud that's boiled until reduced to resin, stretched like gum, and cut into bits of color.
