There's also a new kid on the block- kite surfing. This involves riding a surfboard-like contraption while holding an inflatable kite. Fisherman's Huts is the site of the annual wind boarding and kite boarding competition— Hi Winds Pro-Am Windsurfing Competition. The event takes place during the summer months.
