• This undiscovered choice is tucked away in a scenic location 5km (3 miles) to the east of town along the Strada Arzachena-Bassacutena. A stay here is like living in the countryside, and you can see cattle grazing from your window. Nearby are granite rocks carved by the elements into natural caverns where ancient people once lived. The main house, the Almond Tree, is the site of the lobby and reception with some of the smaller guest rooms. The more desirable rooms are in small chalets spread across the landscaped grounds. Furnishings use natural materials in their decoration including terra cotta and wood. The best beaches lie about a 15km (9 1/3-mile) drive away.
