- Mountain music fills the air of downtown Asheville when Shindig on the Green is in session. The action that's been happening over the years on those hot Saturday nights in the summer at City-County Plaza has a temporary new location for 2007, the Martin Luther King, Jr Park. Bring your blanket or lawn chair, make yourself comfy and sit back and enjoy the eclectic music covering Bluegrass and more in it's 41st season. You might even bring your own instrument and join in! This concert series is free and is an evening of musical fun for the whole family.
