If you are in Asheville in the summer and are in the mood for live music you should make plans to attend Shindig on the Green. Located at Roger McGuire Green at Pack Square Park, this free Saturday night outdoor evening concert series features Southern Appalachian music and dance. Bring a chair or a blanket to stake out a spot on the “green”, but don’t sit in your chair the entire time. Asheville is such a wonderful city for Jazz and Blues as well.
