This shop sells the most elaborate and luscious pastries in Asheville. What you're likely to see behind display cases evokes Habsburgundian Vienna at its most lavish and most intensely high caloric. At least some of the inspiration for the pastries here (offered both at tiny tables and as takeout) comes from the Hungarian-born owners, Melanda and Zoltan Vetran. Pastries go for between 45ยข and $4 a slice. Open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 2am and Saturday and Sunday 9:30am to 2am.
