Description:
Affiliated with Thai Pepper , this stylish little sushi bar is also set on the banks of Ashland Creek and has a pleasant deck for summer dining. While you'll find all your favorite traditional Japanese dishes on the menu, Kobe bills itself as serving modern Japanese food, which means you'll find a bit of food fusion going on here. I like the various ceviches and carpaccios they serve here, which, because they're made with raw fish, are in keeping with the sushi theme. However, you can also get the likes of grilled rack of lamb, roasted duck breast with orange-miso glaze, and steamed sea bass. Be sure to try one of the sake cocktails.
