Once you arrive in Aspen, settle in, catch your breath (the town
sits 7,908 feet above sea level), and give yourself some time to
decide on what to do. Unless, of course, its winter, and your
options are limited to skiing, partying, or skiing. But even though
Aspen is known for its downhill winter fun and party status as the
number one apres ski town in North America, word is finally seeping
out that this town is not limited to winter and is instead a year
round source of visual, mental and physical activities. For as most
locals say "I came out here for the winters, but stayed for the
summers." And despite being barely larger than a large celebrity
estate, first-time visitors quickly learn that Aspen has a big
backyard.
