It is not bad, I do not think you will have any trouble if you are used to riding. We did it and it was a leisurely ride, not difficult. Hope that helps. Rent a good bike, that helps, unless you are bringing your own. The ride from Glenwood east in the canyon is nice also.

One thing to consider is whether you're visiting from a low-elevation area and if you need time to acclimate to the high elevation. I've heard many stories of people from out of state who aren't used to the elevation in Colorado and encounter difficulties doing even easy things like climbing stairs the first few days they are here.
