• Vouliagmeni, the "Athens Riviera" is littered with gorgeous coastal resorts. What makes the Margi different is a certain warmth made with the sorts of touches one does when expecting company in the evening: candles lit and the fireplace roaring, rugs on the ground, soft music... the abundance of greenery in the patio area and mix of rustic and modern Mediterranean furnishings really set the mood for romance.
  
  The hotel is five star and among the usual luxurious amenities like a sparkling swimming pool and workout room, there are four cafe/restaurants, one of which is the Malabar where you can enjoy a pomegranate mojito near the pool. It's within walking distance of beaches and upscale fish restaurants. A private car or taxi will be required to get much further, such as the center of the city, 14.9 miles away. Public transportation is possible but will be slow going as your options are the bus (requiring a lot of transferring at different stops) or taking a taxi to the nearest tram stop in Voula, also slow.
  
  If you're looking to get away and a bit of remoteness is a virtue, the Margi is a very good choice.
