Description:
- The ancient theatre of Epidaurus is considered an architectural and acoustical masterpiece. It was built in the third century BC with a capacity of over 10,000 people. The great works of Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides and Aristophanes are performed here on each weekend of June, July and August. A bus departs from the KTEL Terminal at 100 Kifissou Street to the Epidaurus Theatre at 5p, and returns to Athens right after the end of the performance (Tel. +30 210 513 4588). Sirigos Travel (Tel. +30 210 323 5500) departs at 4:30p from 6 Othonos Street (right off Syntagma Square), €20.
