Hadjikyriakos Ghikas Gallery

Description:

• A new art shop of the Benaki museum opened recently at Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika Gallery, on 3 Kriezotou str, just one minute from Syntagma.  The great artist lived and worked almost all his life in this classical building in the center of Athens, in which are now located his studio and his works, together with other  great  Greek artists of the 20th century.  The new museum shop is located on the ground floor,  with new productions, mostly inspired by the great artist's work, but also by the work of  other important artists of the same period. Artists and designers created unique works and compositions, each one with his own personal style, using elements from Ghikas' work which are thus transformed into new forms.
