Description:

Ελληνικἀ Καλοὐδια, translating roughly to "Greek Goods" feels like a romantic storeroom from a country villa: tea is stored in painted drawers, spices in clear jars along the back shelves. Dried peppers and garlic hang from the rafters, tall baskets of legumes stand just in front of the cash register. This is a shop that shows the strong connection Greece still has with pure, unmucked with ingredients, and foodies will love nothing more than to peruse the shelves of olive oil, wine, several varieties of honey, fruit preserves, handmade pasta, and sweet vinegar. Don't forget to check out the coolers stuffed with cheeses from the milk of cows, goats, and sheep. Biological fruit juices, Ayran, Kefir and yogurts are refreshing on a hot day of sightseeing and the sesame candy, pasteli, makes the perfect energy bar.

Open every day except Sunday.

The store is located just behind the New Acropolis Museum and is connected to a produce market.
Nearest Metro: Acropolis.
Walk down Makriyianni street and take a right on Chatzichristou, following the back of the museum. Cross the street and you're there.
