The Athens Centre has been administering classes in the modern Greek language since 1969; now it is considered one of the most comprehensive in the world. Located in the residential, yet central area of Mets, the center has small classes that are offered on a year round basis for any pace of learning. Courses in poetry and art are offered along with several classes recognized by universities around the world.Courses are also offered seasonally on the Saronic island of Spetses, a 2.5 hour ferry ride from the port of Piraeus in Athens.
