The New Acropolis Museum

• The New Acropolis Museum is absolutely stunning! I have been to museums all over Europe (including the Louvre & British Museum) and this one ranks up there with the best! Much of it is due to the stunning architecture of the building, the ruins below the building, and being able to be literally accross the street from where all of the artifacts are from. Most museums have items from all of the world, or all over a particular country, or city, etc. But this museum is different, everything is from a specific site and it's proximity (only 400 yards away) maxes everything that much more interesting because you're able to put it all in context. If you're in Athens obviously you will go to the Acropolis, all I have to say is it would be an absolute shame to not visit this museum in the process!
