Description:
Fresh fish, polite staff and quick service. You may find it a little expensive though (40€-50€/ person for fresh fish, salad, appetizers and wine). It is nice sitting outside if the weather is fine. Families would love it. It's located by the sea in the area of Vouliagmeni.

Description:
Kick back and relax by the beach or live it up in one of the many nightclubs Mykonos is famous for on this two day island escape from Athens.
Although one of the smallest islands of the Cyclades complex, Mykonos definitely makes up for it thanks to its treasures of natural beauty, rich history, cosmopolitan character combined with a wild nightlife, as well as plenty of local color.
The island boasts many beaches where you can soak up the sun and the atmosphere. Be sure to get there early especially in the summer months. Watch the sunset with the water lapping at your feet from one of the many waterside bars in the Little Venice quarter or for some serious partying, head to one of the many late night dance clubs.
If you're after a bit of history and culture, the island has five museums you can visit as well as a beautiful church. The church of Panagia Paraportiani is located beyond the Delos Ferry Quay on the way to Little Venice.
Just off Mykonos is the sacred island of Delos. The island is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece, and certainly the most important in the Cyclades. Ferries depart from the Old Jetty at the western end of the harbor and can be booked directly....

Microlimino is THE place to impress someone or make a magical memory. Plous Podilatou is the hot spot to do it in.
Description:
Tucked in a nestled cove of fantastic fisheries in romantic Microlimino is the exiting, new Plous Podilatou (Sailing Bicycle.) Made by the same creators as the fabulously successful Kitrino Podilato (Yellow Bicycle) Chef Vasilis Alvanidis employs creativity with Mediterranean seafood standards. Risotto with leek and lobster, spaghetti with steamed clams in white wine from the Aegean island of Limnos, and grilled Plurotis mushrooms served with smoked Graviera cheese, just as teasers.
Enjoy it all in a well designed, minimalist decor with waterfront tables.

Hands down best delivery food in Athens.
Description:
Located inside a small lobby (back and to the left) not far from Syntagma Square, you won't quite understand why a little place like this has been featured in the New York Times. This is not a place you go for atmosphere, though they do offer you a seat at the one table in the midst of the happy, busy buzz of the kitchen if you would like to dine there. It's a place you go for genuine, delicious food prepared with love and extreme attention to quality. The cheeses, olives, oil and bread all come from trusted producers in some of the best agricultural regions of Greece, including Amorgos Island, Kithera and the Macedonia. All of the food is prepared by award winning chef, Konstantinos Siopidis, though you would never know it by the prices. Even the most complicated dishes are not over twelve euros. The pastries and savory pies are made by his mother in law, Irini, who has given demonstrations of her cooking on television shows.

Tables outside have great views of the Acropolis and of people passing by. Indoors cozy.
Description:
Located along Adrianou Street next to the Ancient Agora, this place is great for people-watching as well. To Kouti (The Box) stands head and shoulders above its neighboring restaurants that seem to rely too much on their location. The place looks like children decorated it with bright-colored crayons -- even the menu is handwritten in brightly illustrated children's books. Beyond decor, To Kouti has an unusual but very tasty menu: Try the beef in garlic and honey or the shrimp in carrots or opt for some of its exceptional vegetarian dishes. The homemade bread is served in (of course!) boxes.

Highly recommended for seeing an incredible sunset in Philopappou and ending the day well off the beaten path.
Description:
Passing through the backroads of Philopappou, skirting the bluecollar neighborhood of Ana Petralona, you will pass a candy-colored taverna that looks like it's been made out of decoupage and leftover housing materials. To Koutouki has the most offbeat "roof garden" in Athens, home style food like deep fried zucchini, tzatziki and boiled greens with lemon and olive oil, and a staff that may be limited in their English but makes up for it in enthusiasm.
To find it, start from the Dora Stratou Theater parking lot and walk up the road, across the bridge. You'll see it then.

Description:
The southern slope of the Acropolis is the site of two ancient theaters. The one dedicated to Dionysos is the world's oldest theatre built in the 6th century BC. A few meters to the west is the Odeon of Herod Atticus, built under Roman rule. The Odeon, standing out for its impressive façade, was constructed by Herod Atticus in memory of his late wife. This majestic semicircular theater holding 5,000 people was inaugurated in 161 AD, but was destroyed a century later. Nowadays, the restored open-air Odeon serves as the city's major theater. The architectural beauty and the location just beneath the Acropolis makes it one of the world's most impressive venues for concerts and performances which are part of the Athens Festival. Check the Athens Festival calendar during the months of June through September. A short walk from the Acropolis metro station.
