George's is a comfy, neighborhood friendly tavern right in the middle of the Virgina Highlands. George's has been family owned and operated since 1961 and has become a Highlands' institution. George's plays host to numerous neighborhood functions, such as the weekly running group that meets here every Wednesday evening. Come watch your favorite sporting event on of our TVS and enjoy one of our famous hand pattied burgers made from 100% ground chuck beef and char-broiled to perfection. We also have a great beer selection available, both in draft and in the bottle. George's can accomodate private parties up to 20 people in our private upstairs room and 30 people in our new dining area downstairs. So if your looking for good burgers, friendly people and a good time, come to George's.
