Known as one of the restaurant capitals of the southeast, Atlanta attracts restaurateurs from across the country and has a fair share of local celebrity chefs and restaurant owners that garner a lot of press. When it comes to five star restaurants, many of Atlanta's best highlight organic, farm-to-table menus while others stick to the basics like prime steak and seafood.
Quinones at Bacchanalia and sister restaurant Bacchanalia, our top two options, have been favorites in the fine dining scene since Chefs/Owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison opened the restaurants in the 1990s. While the prix- fixe, multi-course meals offered at these two spots require a pricey commitment, patrons rave about the tasting menus that change nightly. Miller Union, one of the new kids on the fine dining block, debuted in 2009 to top reviews. Boasting a menu based on the week's harvest, Miller Union hosts monthly harvest dinners, where a prix-fixe, three course meal is served family style.
Along with these fancy spots, other great options in the fine dining arena include historic Buckhead steakhouse Bone's and its competitor, Chops, that is just a few miles away. If you are a big meat eater, another good spot to check out is Chef Kevin Rathbun's namesake meat spot Rathbun's Steak, which is hidden among warehouses in Inman Park.
If you're looking to feast and are willing to pay for it, there are a great many options in Atlanta, one of the southeast's burgeoning culinary hotspots.
