- Forget about thoughts of Men at Work and Vegemite sandwiches. The Australian Bakery Café in East Atlanta Village has a varied menu of sandwiches, quiches, meat pies and pastries. Head to the counter and order off the printed menu or simply by pointing at one of the delectable goodies on display. The proprietors claim that their meat pies are the best this side of Sydney. The meat pies are definitely the star attraction, although breakfast quiches are a popular option in the early hours. There are tables inside, but the Australian Bakery Cafe includes outdoor seating, where dog -owners are welcome to bring their canine friends. - Beth Dolgner

Whenever we go into Atlanta on the weekends we stop here

We go by the Australian Bakery about 4 times a year, and get meat pies to go. The Curried Lamb is our favorite! Either reheat in the over or microwave and you're good to go....
