The Marina
Nestled among streets with names like Spinnaker Way, Lighthouse Court, and Sextant Drive, historic Gardner's Basin, near the Marina in uptown Atlantic City, is a good place to set sail on a variety of popular dolphin watch or sightseeing cruises offered by Atlantic City Cruises.
If you prefer not to take to the sea, get a glimpse of ocean life up-close at the Atlantic City Aquarium. Although small, it houses a number of fascinating exhibits, including Moon Jellies, Loggerhead Sea turtles, and a shark and ray touch tank. When hunger strikes, dine at the Flying Cloud Café or the Back Bay Ale House, where micro-brewed beer, seafood, steaks and hamburgers accompany great views of the water. Also at Gardner's Basin, check out the "Diving Bell", which was once an attraction at Atlantic City's famed Steel Pier.
At the Marina you'll also find three casinos: The Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa, Harrah's Resort, and the Trump Marina Hotel Casino, where, once the sun sets, you can dance the night away at The Wave, a casual nightspot which offers spectacular views of the Marina and the Atlantic City skyline.
