The Best of NileGuide
The waterfront is where Auckland really shines and, as such, it is also the location of most of the larger luxury hotels. The Hilton Hotel was built to look like a cruise ship and its large white exterior sticking out into the harbour says just that. Gazing out at the harbour in the evening with a drink at the bar is an experience not to be missed. As far as being a bit further up on the hill, the trendy Hotel DeBrett, the Langham, and City Life are all centrally located and just a breath away from the main Queen Street thoroughfare. The sky City Hotel is located right under the tower and, although it is off Queen stree by a little walk, you will still feel central. Quay West Suites and City Life both offer suite-style accommodation, so if you are looking for a little extra room or would like to stay in a two-bedroom apartment type place, enquire at these places first.
