The Best of NileGuide
- Perhaps you've been to Auckland and you think you've seen it all. Well, in recent years Auckland has added quite a few new attractions so you might just want to look again. For the adventurous, there is a brand new jet boat operation which leaves from right next to the ferry terminal called Auckland Adventure Jets. Also, you may have driven over the Harbour bridge, but now you can climb up over the top or jump off of it on a bungy. Better you than me. If you like jumping off of things, you can now also jump off the Sky Tower. You slide down a tiny wire all the way to the bottom. Too scared? What about walking along the edge of the top platform. You will gain a deep appreciation for the work done by the window washers if nothing else. Too much? OK, how about some nice shopping on the now very funky High Street including the Chancery area. Buy yourself some Kiwiana and then sit down to a flat white and a caramel slice (hint: go to a cafe to find out exactly what those are). Or peruse the ever-changing Karangahape Road, or K' Road as the locals call it.
