Airport Gateway Hotel

• Cheapity cheap cheap option for staying near the airport. They pride themselves on their Kiwi friendliness, though, so don't think this is a bad option just because it's cheaper than the others.  They sometimes have deals on so check for the flyer at the Tourist Information Centre in the airport before you arrive. I picked one up that was $99 for a night including pickup and breakfast.
  
  There is a 24 hour free airport shuttle and you can park your car for 14 days (also free). Full restaurant and bar facilities look good and there is a pool table and fireplace in the bar so you can settle in and not worry about getting to your flight on time.
  
  All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and room service as well as Sky TV and there are conference facilities available. All up, at 4 minutes from the airport, it seems like this well-established hotel is a good option for those who do not want to spend a lot on their way in or out of the country.
