- An old villa at the residential end of Jervois Road is home to the Empress Garden, which has been serving great meals to locals and others in the know for more than two decades. While traditional, the décor is light and refreshing--pale green walls contrast with red chinese lanterns and everything is clean and tidy. The menu featuring classic Chinese cuisine is pages long. Special dishes such as Peking Duck need to be ordered in advance. The wine list is short but adequate, or you may bring your own wine. They also serve plenty of green tea.
