- Mecca Cafe is situated in Auckland's style epicenter, Vulcan Lane. The cafe is small and cosy-even the seating outside has wonderful gas heating. The clientele is varied. Some examples from the menu include asparagus wrapped in smoked ham with parmesan sauce; steamed chicken breast, braised leeks and corn on the cob; Penne pasta with chicken, asparagus, ham and cream sauce; and smoked salmon salad with noodles. The wine list features New Zealand and imported wines by the glass and by the bottle.
