  • A vibrant Austin nightlife goes hand-in-hand with a work-hard, play-hard attitude that translates into an active social scene. Austin is the place for live music, and more, with something going on seven nights a week. An excellent place to start your Austin nightlife adventure is at Donn's Depot. Come enjoy country western music in a railroad relic. This venue, although slightly outside of downtown, provides an excellent opportunity to dance and watch older country western pros strut their stuff. The old Texas feel and the relaxing atmosphere make a great team with cold beer and great music.

Not to be missed is The Side Bar. This bar is one of the most visited bars in Austin. Everything about this place is liked and loved by the people of Austin. Deemed great by the greats, jazz lovers would love the Elephant Room. If Austin-area jazz lovers feel ignored, it is justified; the local music scene, multifaceted as it may be, has always neglected their genre. However, what the region lacks in quantity, the Elephant Room more than makes up for in quality. It has been deemed as one of the ten finest venues in the country by none other than Wynton Marsalis. So if you're looking to do some dancing, or plain old mingling, or just want to kick back and listen to some great tunes, you'll find what you want in Austin.
