Description:
- Serving fresh and intricately spiced stews, Aster's Ethiopian offers lots of beef, chicken, and lamb dishes, as well as a ton of vegetarian choices. Meals are typically served on a large, round communal platter. Food is eaten with the fingers. Pieces of injera, a flat sourdough bread, are torn off and used to scoop up bites of the food. If you aren't comfortable using your fingers, Aster's will happily supply forks. Sharing a platter allows diners to try lots of different foods, as each entrée comes with two vegetable side dishes. To try a little bit of everything, Aster's offers a buffet at lunch. Though the small indoor dining room can get crowded, there is a large enclosed outdoor dining area. - Christine Whalen
