I had the opportunity to eat at the Bakehouse during a recent golf trip to Austin. Chicken Pot Pie was awesome, I highly recommend it! It was so good I decided to come back for breakfast....

So maybe this is not the most fair way to review a restaurant- but I was by myself so I sat at the bar watched tv and ordered. Chicken fried steak salad and a loaded backed potato....

this has to be the worst restaurant i have ever eaten at in austin. the corn tortillas were hard as a brick, i ordered the pork chops and they were burnt and had no flavor what so ever....

Pictured: Bakehouse Breast of Chicken from our regular menu. We have a new menu with new items like Turkey Reuben, Tempura Mushrooms, and The Pizza Omelet. New wine list. German dishes available all day. Now serving the best breakfast in Austin until 3pm everyday of the week. Full menu is available from 7am. The bar opens at 7am too! We'll bet money in a blind tasting against any place in town that we have the BEST in AUSTIN of Hamburgers, Chicken Fried Steak, Chicken Pot Pie, and our soups, especially our famous Sausage Chowder. We also have the best Pancakes, Migas, Hollandaise sauce, and Omelets. Actually just breakfast in general, and of course our German food.
