Description:

  • Casa Maria's breakfast tacos are wrapped in thick, puffy, heavenly flour tortillas made at the adjoining bakery. For about $7, you can get three breakfast tacos stuffed with eggs, potatoes, cheese and nopalitos (cactus strips). Spicy, fresh red salsa takes the breakfast tacos to the next level of deliciousness. For lunch, the enchiladas, chile relleno, and fajitas are reliably delectable. It's not uncommon to see spontaneous hugs breaking out among old friends at this small neighborhood institution. On weekends, roving mariachis entertain the diners. The restaurant is extremely family-friendly, with an extensive kids' menu. For dessert, head to the bakery for Mexican pan dulce (sweetbread), flan, or tres leches cake.
