• Manor Road's crowded collection of East Austin Tex-Mex restaurants and comfort food joints has a new Italian neighbor. Opened in 2007, Stortini is the latest attempt to bring old world-style cuisine to central Texas. The ristorante features a casual, low-lit dining room and a breezy back patio with quaint four tops and a friendly wait staff. The pasta is made in-house and the desserts are nothing short of decadent (even if the portions are on the small side). If you're in the mood for a hearty meal, try their fresh seafood-filled Spaghetti Pescatore or the 'shroom lovers' Papardelle and Marsala Mushrooms. For lighter fare, go with the chicken parmesan panini or an antipasti plate of steamed Saffron Mussels.
