Austin Steam Trains/River City Flyer

Description:

• The Austin Steam Train Association has created a little slice of history. Take a railroad ride on a turn-of-the-century locomotive pulling restored city streetcars. Passengers can choose an air-conditioned Pullman Car (more expensive, but worth it in the heat of a Texas summer!) or one of the open-air cars for a more authentic experience. The River City Flyer takes passengers around the city of Austin for about two hours, with a guided tour of Austin's most historic neighborhoods and landmarks. The train boards at Plaza Saltillo.
