• As one of the longest established hostelries on ever-changing Jalan Benesari, Midnite Oil still retains a low-key chilled out atmosphere like nowhere else. It has subdued lighting and stylish retro furnishings in deep reds and yellows. The friendly and talkative bartenders serve up large measures of imported liquor and premium beers that are still great value. This narrow, open-fronted bar is dominated by a full-size billiards table surrounded by comfortable low seating and exuberant artwork adorning the walls. There is no regular food menu; a night at Midnite Oil is purely about relaxed drinking and socializing, and closing hours are somewhat flexible depending on the numbers of revellers in the late evening.
