  • Eating out in Bali can certainly be one of the highlights of your island vacation. But the restaurants of Bali are not just about flavors, they can be a lot of fun, too. Visit Rini, Ubud's best-kept dining secret. Rini is hidden within an atmospheric heritage village containing the Suly Resort & Spa. It has a spacious patio which opens out onto sweeping views of terraced rice fields. All tables face an open-air stage which hosts Balinese dance performances and traditional music. The menu offers well-presented Balinese specialties such as bebek betutu crispy duck, nasi panggung and special all-you-can-eat Indonesian buffets.

For a rocking night out, check out the Legend. This is perhaps the most flamboyant venue in Legian, and guarantees a colorful night of dining, drinking and great music. A large open-fronted entrance reveals a spacious lounge and dining area dominated by an imposing corner stage. Each night offers something different at the Legend, with loud rock music, jazzy singer-songwriters, folk music and even drag shows.

Cangangsari Restaurant prides itself on being one of the few restaurants in Sanur that provides exclusive dining with classical Balinese dances. Dine on Asian or European food while watching the legong, joged or frog dances. This large, alfresco restaurant offers a smattering of Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Indonesian dishes. Sample the chicken sate, tempura or dim sum while listening to the traditional sounds of a gamelan band. Cangangsari also whips up a good selection of traditional Balinese food and seafood. So, go ahead, visit these fun Bali restaurants; you just might find yourself frog dancing your way back to your hotel.
