• Kaizan is a chic and spacious Japanese eatery and sushi bar set over two floors overlooking cosmopolitan Jalan Laksmana. Modern in style it may be, but it also has many traditional touches with flowing emboidered drapes and rustic furnishings. Kaizan consists of a well-sized yet intimate sushi bar on the upstairs terrace and air-conditioned dining room filled with pleasant water features. Most of the seating incorporates 'lesehan style' low, cushioned tables ideal for large groups and relaxed, unhurried dining. The menu is made up of sashimi rolls, salmon and teriyaki hot plates, along with a small selection of Korean favorites. It stays open until 2a and is one of the few establishments to offer authentic Japenese plum wine. - Ray Montgomery
