• Located directly opposite the modern Bali Hyatt Hotel in central Sanur, Telaga Naga couldn't offer a bigger contrast. It is an authentic vision of ancient China, featuring a beautifully adorned central pagoda perched above a serene lagoon. It is surrounded by lush gardens and offers a tranquil haven just meters from the busy main street. It has a pricey but high quality menu of authentic Szechuan and Cantonese specialties served in elegantly formal surroundings. Choose from garlic prawns, crispy Peking duck and tender stir fried grouper filet among an extensive a la carte selection. There is a very comprehensive wine list and a fine range of Western and Oriental desserts. Telaga Naga is a slightly formal place but the food and service is exquisite and definitely worth a one-time splurge. -Raymond Montgomery
