Description:
- Situated on the rim of an active volcano, Mount Batur, Kintamani Village overlooks the spectacular crater lake of Lake Batur. Several restaurants on the rim offer a wonderful uninhibited vantage point to soak up the breathtaking vista. Often shrouded in mist and much cooler than the coast, it is an excellent fruit growing area. Other points of interest include the morning market, held every three days, guided hiking tours and the journey down into the caldera, past the lunar landscape of black pumice and lava rocks to the hot springs at the edge of the lake.
