Taman Gili

Description:

  • This complex houses the Hall of Justice, the Floating Garden Pavilion and a small museum. The latter features a rather motley collection of stone artifacts with one gallery dedicated to the works of Emilio Ambron (Florence and Klungkung are sister cities). The King of Klungkung and his ministers would meet to discuss matters of law in a pavilion known as The Hall of Justice. Painted ceiling portrays what happened to those who commit crimes (for example, a liar has his tongue cut out). The Bale Kambang shows scenes from a royal wedding and the story of Sutasoma, a Buddhist saint. Admission: IDR3,000
