Depends what you want to buy. Some places are fixed price, some say fixed price, but if you buy bulk you can bargain, some are negotiable. I find the best thing to do (if you want to buy lots), is look at fixed price places first so you know the rough idea of how much to pay, then hit the places you can bargain.

the best shopping place in Bali is in Pasar Sukowati (sukowati market),there u can bargain as much as u can for a things like Bali souvenir, t-shirt,pants,bali saroong, handmade products, bags, sandal, art productetc. u may see lots of souvenir like tht in kuta or legian area but they sold very expensive compare with this market! and for silver jewelery u may go to Celuk, theres lots of silver galery which offering u cheap price n discount also, and still u can bargain sometimes! Happy shopping ^_^

Hi there!
What kinda things u wanna buy? If you wanna buy beautiful yet cheap local products like Balinese cloth, shirt, bags from organic materials, necklace, etc. you can go to Pasar Seni Sukawati (Sukawati Art Market). It's located in Sukawati Subdistrict, Gianyar (east of Denpasar), and only about 30 - 40 mins driving from Kuta, Sanur, Nusa Dua, and Jimbaran. Or, if Sukawati is too crowded, you can go to Pasar Guwang, which is located only 2 kms from pasar Sukawati. Don't worry, it has the same merchandises as Sukawati. The nice thing is, for sure, you can bargain there in both markets! I suggest you to come early when the market has just been opened or when it is about to close cos you know what, the earlier or the later you bargain, the more discount you get. Trust me!;)

So, happy shopping!
