If you love grand old hotels with modern conveniences, this one's for you. The 23-story French Renaissance-style hotel, which opened in 1928, still retains its old-fashioned charm. The grand lobby boasts soaring columns and a glittering chandelier. Those who need extra space should consider a one-bedroom parlor suite or a corner room, which comes with king-size bed and sleeper sofa. Set in the heart of the financial district, the hotel is convenient to Mount Vernon attractions; the Inner Harbor is only 5 blocks away.
