• Located just outside the bus station, this sad old dinosaur is in desperate need of a makeover. At ¥100 ($13/£6.50) per night for a twin, it's is exorbitantly overpriced, especially considering that the bathrooms do not even have sink plugs and the curtains are tissue-paper thin. This is a real shame as the staff are super friendly and very helpful (the security guard lent me his bicycle for the afternoon as there were no rental facilities in town), and the hotel is the only place in town that has a map of the area for sale. It also has an interesting photo album of local sights and a souvenir DVD for sale at ¥20 ($2.60/£1.30).
