When you pay for Five Star dining, you expect nothing but the best. Everything has to be great. The ambiance and decor have to be just right. The setting has to be special. The service can't compromise its standards. And, most of all, the food must be tasty, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Add in Banff's Rocky Mountain landscape and you have a beautiful experience.
The Rimrock Hotel focused on gaining a reputation amongst the food crowd over the past decade, and Eden was able to earn a Five-Diamond ranking from AAA, which was the first ever awarded in Western Canada. It is expensive, and somewhat pretentious, but you have to pay for quality. Also worth mentioning, if you don't want to pay Eden prices, the Primrose restaurant at the Rimrock is also an award winning restaurant with some of the finest mountain views in Banff.
The Banff Springs Hotel does not fail to deliver fine dining, either. At the Bow Valley Grill, Castello Ristorante, and Samurai Sushi House, the Banff Springs delivers top chefs and the highest standards of service. The Banff Springs is legendary for luxury.
The Banff Centre, which is famous for its artistic contributions, has two restaurants. Vistas and Three Ravens. These restaurants have amazing views of the Bow Valley area, and they are designed to cater to the sophisticated diner. They are a perfect choice for a pre-show meal.
Downtown has several up-scale restaurants, such as the Saltlik (one of the best steakhouses in Canada) and Maple Leaf Grille. Le Beaujolais is a fine French restaurant.
