Compared to Calgary, there is very little business travel to Banff. The only industry in Banff is tourism. But, occasionally businesses plan retreats to Banff or salespeople need a place to stay. Banff has a lot of hotels downtown. They are, for the most part, very nice, well serviced, and provide the necessities of business travel, such as free parking, free internet, and free breakfast. Many of the downtown hotels also have conference rooms.
The Banff Lodging Company owns many of the properties in downtown Banff, such as the Fox, Caribou, and Ptarmigan. All three of these properties are on Banff Avenue within walking distance of all the attraction in Banff. They provide simple, elegant rooms and have restaurants on-site. At every Banff Lodging Company property, there is free internet and a fitness facility.
The Delta Banff Royal Canadian Lodge and Charlton's Cedar Court are owned by the same group, as well. The Delta is one of Banff's only 4-star hotels. It is a high quality, brand name hotel with all the amenities and conveniences. Charlton's Cedar Court does not have the brand name label, but it offers a charming property with great rooms, nice views, and a convenient location to downtown.
The Best Western is another brand-name hotel in downtown Banff. Best Western is the largest hotel chain in the world, and it has a standard of excellence to maintain. You can be confident that a stay at the Best Western will be all that you need it to be for a business trip.
