Banff is full of four season resorts. This town is busy year-round. Skiers flock to Banff in the winter. Golfers and hikers come in the summer. And, Banff hotels and resorts are perfectly suited to accommodate them. Some hotels are downtown, which is busy and crowded, but also lively and fun. It just depends what you want. Some people come to Banff to party. But, other come to get away. Do your kids prefer to shop and eat candy? Or, to search for wild animals in the woods? Or, to get out of town and hit the slopes? Banff hotels can make your trip that much more comfortable.
The Banff Springs is beautiful, iconic, and has world-class service. The nearby Bow Falls is a must see for visitors, and the "Million Dollar View" is unforgettable. In the summer, the world famous Banff Springs Golf Course is open for business, and there are hiking trails around the hotel. The tennis courts nearby are great for the active ones. The bowling alley, shops, restaurants, and the building itself make the Banff Springs a great place for kids to explore.
The Douglas Fir Resort is great for families. The pool area is a lot of fun. This resort is a bit out of town, toward the highway, but it has lots of space to explore and lots of amenities to keep the kids occupied. The Rimrock is near the hot springs as well as lots of hiking trails. It feels like an escape from Banff townsite.
Hotels, such as Fox and Caribou, offer nice rooms, and they are close to downtown. Feeling the vibe around downtown Banff, enjoy the bridge and riverside parks, and wandering through Canada Place are all great activities to do around Banff Ave.
