Top 10:

Banff Business Travel Restaurants

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Banff doesn't have the same business crowd as Calgary. Most of the restaurants in downtown Calgary cater to the professional crowd, as lunch meetings make up the bulk of their business. But, downtown Banff is very different. It's uncommon for professionals to go out to lunch together. The majority of the businesses cater to tourists. But, there are a number of places to go for a business meeting that are very nice, quiet, and provide quality food and service.

The Keg is a favorite for steak lovers. There are several locations of The Keg in southern Alberta, but just two in Banff. One is in the lobby of the Banff Caribou Lodge, and the other is on Banff Avenue. The Banff Avenue location can be quite busy, so depending on the time and day of the week, the Banff Caribou Lodge might be a better option.

The other steak place in Banff is the Saltlik. There is a Saltlik in Calgary, too, but most people agree that the Banff Saltlik is the best one. The up-stairs is a peaceful, eleganct dining room. Downstairs is a busy lounge with a nice fireplace. The appetizers, especially the calamari, are fabulous, but the steaks are what make the Saltlik famous. They also have a huge wine list.

Meeting outside of downtown is a nice way to escape from the loud and obnoxious crowds. The Sleeping Buffalo is an award-winning restaurant on Tunnel Mountain. It has more easily accessible parking than many of the downtown restaurants.
