Top 10:

Banff Romantic Restaurants

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Banff is one of the most romantic places in Canada. Banff is a quaint town with beautiful stone buildings that fit in with the towering majesty of the Rocky Mountains. It is rugged and untamed, yet luxurious. It is wild, but comfortable and safe. It is a dramatic but beautiful landscape. In Banff, there are many restaurants that cater to the up-scale client. Service is of an uncompromisingly high standard. The food is mostly made up of local ingredients and flavors. And, the setting is unparalleled.

Eden has one of Western Canada's highest AAA rankings, a Five-Diamond award winner. Located at the Rimrock Hotel on Mountain Avenue, it is elegant, fine dining at its best. The Rimrock has, in my opinion, the best mountain scenery of any of the hotels in Banff. It is the quality of the restaurants that really put it on the map, though. Both Eden and the Primrose provide great service, a beautiful atmosphere, and some of the best chefs in the Rockies.

The Banff Springs Hotel is one of the most romantic buildings in the world. It is a palace in the rugged Rockies. Within the hotel, there are several of Banff's best restaurants. Castello Ristorante is the Italian restaurant. It is beautiful inside with a clean elegance. Also on site are the Bow Valley Grill and the Samurai Sushi restaurant. The Bow Valley Grill offers one of the best breakfast buffets in Alberta, but it is pricey.

Downtown, the Maple Leaf Grille and the Saltlik are local favorites. The Saltlik serves the best calamari I've ever had, but it's most famous for its steak, which is prime Alberta beef. For a different experience, the tapas at Cafe Soleil on Caribou Street is worth considering.
