Hotels in Banff are some of the most sought after hotels in Canada. Banff is a town of "Million Dollar Views," so it's not surprising that hotels make up much of Banff's real estate. The drive into Banff is littered with hotels, and Banff Ave. is a street of souvenir shops, crowds, restaurants, and hotels. Banff is the respite for hikers, skiers, and adventurers. It's a little place to get cozy next to a grand fireplace, a place to find refuge in hot-tubs, a place to enjoy family memories. Banff is a beautiful town.
The Banff Springs Hotel is a world-famous resort. Just a short drive away from downtown, this castle is one of Canada's most prized possessions. The hotel has everything from luxury spas and shops to bowling alleys, from royal suites to groceries. It's a great time to just walk around the hotel. Check out Bow Falls. Enjoy a cup of tea. Play a round of golf. Try an opulent buffet. For other great scenery, take a trip to the Upper Hot-springs and look around the Rimrock Hotel.
The Fairmont resort, Chateau Lake Louise, is a gem. The crystal blue waters of the lake provide a perfect setting to the chateau. The lake is available for skating in winter and canoeing in summer. There are hiking paths and dog-sled trails all around the area. And, the world-famous Lake Louise ski area is just across the highway. The ice-sculpting competition is worth the trip.
Along Banff Ave. there are almost as many hotels as there are shops. Everywhere you look, there's a hotel. Many of these hotels, though, are great. The Fox, Caribou, and Hidden Ridge are all owned by Banff Lodging Co., which is a major player in the town.
