Beautiful Banff Day Trip from Calgary

Beautiful Banff Day Trip from Calgary - Banff
  • Type: Tours
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Banff is a fun get-away from Calgary, and I get out there at least three or four times per year. The calamari at the SaltLik is a personal favorite. The Rimrock has one of Alberta's finest restaurants. And, the Banff Springs is world-famous for good reason.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Banff on a long-weekend is absolutely chaotic. There's been times where it's hard to even walk down the street because it's so crowded. If you can get away on a workday, it's a much more enjoyable experience.

    Description:

    • Take a full day to explore the Rocky Mountains, enter the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, and travel along Tunnel Mountain Drive, with its wind carved rock formations. Then ride to the mountain top on the Banff Gondola for amazing views!

      Tour Highlights:

      • The Cave and Basin National Historic Site
      • Birthplace of Canada's National Parks
      • Tunnel Mountain Drive with views of Banff, Mt. Rundle and Cascade Mountain

At the Banff Gondola you'll ride up into the mountain tops for spectacular views from a one kilometer boardwalk or 360 degree observation deck. Then enjoy the peaceful beauty of Bow Falls. Free time is provided to lunch and explore downtown Banff.

This tour is seasonal and only operates from May through to October.
