Don't feed the birds. They are very aggressive.

    Description:

    • The turquoise waters of Lake Louise with the Victoria Glacier behind is one of Canada's most famous views, and for good reason. It truly is one of the most spectacularly beautiful places on earth. The glacier feeds the lake, and the silt it creates gives the lake its distinct color. People have been coming to Lake Louise ever since the railroad came through the Banff area. In fact, this spot was hand selected as a tourist spot for its beauty and it's closeness to a great, ski-able mountain (Mt. Fairview), which is across the highway. Hiking up the mountain to look down on the lake is one of Banff National Park's most popular hikes. It's fairly accessible, and the view is well worth the effort. Lake Louise is also good for canoeing in the summer, skating in the winter. Cross country skiers can find nearby trails. And, those who want to try dog sledding will appreciate the trails around the Chateau. Moraine Lake and Lake Agnes are also accessible through Lake Louise.
