• Another of Bangkok's finer pool halls, The Sportsman is located in Washington Square between Sukhumvit 22 and 24 set back from Sukhumvit on a sub-soi right behind The Dubliner. This place is serious about pool with five 8-foot tables and two 9-foot Brunswick tables. They also offer a 24-hour turnaround cue tipping service in conjunction with Bangkok Cue Sports. The pud food is great and some Thai dishes are also served. Beginners and average pool shooters will be comfortable here. The serious money players should look elsewhere. Table time is either 20 baht per game or 180-200 baht for an hour. The Sportsman sells cues and offers cue storage. This is also really a sports bar with nine flatscreen TVs, plus one massive screen, which pipe in the big matches/games. No children allowed.
